ExpectantMothersGuide.com is a one-stop shop for information that expectant mother’s are looking for. Topics covered range include Pregnancy, Labor & Deliver, Postpartum, Feeding, Shopping Resources, and Baby & Family.
Expectant Mother’s Guide started as a quarterly print magazine that was distributed throughout 12 different cities around the US, and included articles from experts and advertising for services relating the the journey of expectant mothers (and fathers.)
After a brief hiatus, Expectant Mother’s Guide was relaunched as an website-only presence in December 2012. The new site was WordPress based, but hadn’t been designed to optimize certain key features to entice readers to stay on the site and participate in the forum. In early 2014, ExpectantMothersGuide.com was relaunched on a custom responsive Genesis child theme.
Features of the new site include a responsive slider, responsive tabs to offer a featured article in each of the main topic areas, geo-location to offer local resources based on the visitor’s state, and integration of schema and other SEO features to help the site rank higher in search engine results.
