Last weekend was one of the most anticipated weekends of the year for many Pittsburgh-area geeks – PodCamp Pittsburgh 6. If you’ve never heard of or been to a PodCamp, here’s the official description of what it’s all about from the PodCamp Pittsburgh website:
“PodCamp Pittsburgh is a social, new media un-conference. PodCamp Pittsburgh is nothing without dynamic attendees and speakers who steer the content we cover each year, and no two years are ever the same.
In 2004, PodCamp was originally built around podcasting, and as the event has grown across North America, PodCamp Pittsburgh has also evolved into a study of information sharing online and how it affects us in different ways every day.”
This is my second PCPGH, and my third PodCamp overall. (I also attended PodCamp Boston in 2009.) Again, I am amazed at the quality of the speakers and presentations available for, well, for FREE.
In addition to the great sessions, I met some truly great people that I look forward to getting to know more and possibly working with in the future. I didn’t end up getting to catch all of the sessions that I wanted to catch because I was also a volunteer at PCPGH this year, so I’m anxiously awaiting the videos from all the sessions. And I’m already looking forward to next year’s event. All in all, a great way to spend my weekend.
Happy to see you enjoyed the weekend. Hope to start turning out videos next week. We have a link to the keynote, posted by the keynoter, on the site as well.
