Look out world – she’s starting a podcast!

I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts lately while I work. I’m one of those people that can’t work in silence – the silence is actually distracting to me. So I work in coffee shops, or have the TV on in the background, or the radio, or, duh, podcasts. Listening to podcasts while I work helps two ways – 1, to provide the background noise the I need to focus and 2, to learn about new tools and tips or marketing techniques. I may not being paying 100% attention to the podcast – it is designed for background noise, right? But I do hear enough to pick up the plugin names or key points, and if it’s something that I need to listen to again, I’ll flag it and listen to it again in the car or something where I’m not working on coding at the same time.

OMG – all the goodies! I filled a page with all the goodies I learned about yesterday during my podcasting-listenting-while-I-work session. And I’ve been thinking about doing a podcast for a while, but hadn’t nailed down the specifics of what I wanted to talk about yet. So, here’s my plan – in the podcast episodes, I’m going to talk about

  • website tips
  • WordPress plugins
  • interviews with marketing/website people, hopefully including a few plugin developers
  • other fun stuff that I come across that I think you’ll enjoy!

Schedule-wise, I’m planning to record some over the new few weeks, and launch maybe mid-March with a few episodes for you to listen to right away.

Here’s what I need from you!

Yes, I plan to cover some things that I find interesting. But I’d also like to cover things that you find intereting. So, could you take a few minutes (maybe 5ish?) to complete my customer interest survey, so I can learn what you all want to learn from me, and in what format – audio, video, e-courses, webinars, etc. See, I love doing all those things, but I want to make sure that if I’m going to be making them anyway, that they reach the audience that’s looking for them.

I plan to post the results of the interest survey in a few weeks, so you can see the top contenders and what I’m going to be covering in various formats coming up. Don’t worry though – all your personal information will be kept confidential. 🙂
