More and more people are discovering the wonder and ease that goes along with having a WordPress-based website.
For a long time, the only options for updating a website were to hire a designer/coder every time you wanted something updated, or learn how to do it yourself and risk screwing it up. Or, you could pay a designer to develop and install a Content Management System (CMS), potentially at a great expense. Then, in 2003, WordPress was born.
Although originally a blogging platform, WordPress has grown and evolved into so much more. Because of the versalitity and scalability of WordPress, it is now often used as a CMS for many websites, with or without a blog being part of the design.
I recommend WordPress to my clients because it makes it easy for them to update content themselves, should they want to. The CMS aspects of the platform allow someone to edit the Posts or Pages without interfering with or possibly altering the “theme” or template for the site.
